YVES RODIER
Thanks to our dear Alsatian friend Jean-Christophe Caurette, well-known in the world of comics, we could get in touch with Yves Rodier, a Québécois comic strip creator known for his many pastiches of The Adventures of Tintin.
Yves found our project interesting, so we started to work together to create our characters: Los Luchadores (El Aventurier, El Cuentacuentos & SzuperAnya) and Panamita, our racing car, as if they were from the world of comics. He also created our logo and poster for the race.
Look how the logo was born under his pencil!
Yves is also the drawer-colorist of El Spectro, a Mexican wrestler, a masked judge, an adventurer and much more. Adored in his country where he is a superstar of the Lucha Libre, he also travels around the world to discover forgotten regions and redress the wrongs. No one knows his face because, according to the tradition of the Lucha Libre, only an adversary who succeeded in defeating him can remove his mask.
“Le Bébelleux Naufragé” is a web-series produced in Montreal on Popular Culture, toys, comics, TV series, films and vintage music.
In each episode, “Le Bébelleux” (Yves Rodier), flanked by his butler “Friday” (Juan Caballero) and his bartender “René Gag” the dwarf crocodile (Réjean Beaudoin) receives a guest on the terrace Tiki Lounge of his Polynesian island, to discuss a particular topic.
Nothing is taken seriously, but we learn a lot while laughing! Visit the island of our castaways on the “Pourlephone Productions” channel, on YouTube two to three times a month, and take the opportunity to meet them in person during one of their rare passages on the continent during the FantastiCon Montréal!
